Going to Nepal? We need some yaks!!

Are you planning a trip to Nepal??  If so, maybe you could take some supplies to the schools, monasteries and nunnery, ones that they can't buy in the country.
They need -  Vitamins (especially buffered Vitamin C, multivitamins and Calcium)
                     Acupuncture needles
                     Bandages and band-aides
                     Wart medicine
                     Seeds: carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes, cauliflower, hot chilies, beans, chard, hot peppers, pumpkins, flowers

Thank you, Shirley Blair!

Thanks to SMD Director, Shirley Blair, for her presentation on the challenges of the Himalayan children.
About 40 people came to hear her speak at the Thrangu Monastery in Richmond, BC.
We learned about how hard life is for the small children who have to go to work at a young age, clothed in rags and
barefoot in the winter.  They live in such remote areas that education is difficult or non-existent with government teachers coming for only 3 months in one year.  SMD Boarding School is providing ...
