Water Shortage at Namo Buddha. Please Help!

DRILLING FOR WATER AT NAMO BUDDHA, NEPAL

As there is a serious shortage of water at Namo Buddha (see under projects)
A deep tube well is required to provide water. The drilling will be 230 meters through rock. This seems to be the only alternative as all other methods have dried up. The drilling and all fittings will cost approximately $41,000.

Going to Nepal? We need some yaks!!

Are you planning a trip to Nepal?? If so, maybe you could take some supplies to the schools, monasteries and nunnery, ones that they can't buy in the country.
They need - Vitamins (especially buffered Vitamin C, multivitamins and Calcium)
                     Acupuncture needles
                     Bandages and band-aides
                     Wart medicine
                     Seeds: carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes, cauliflower, hot chilies, beans, chard, hot peppers, pumpkins, flowers

Thanks to SMD Director, Shirley Blair, for her presentation on the challenges of the Himalayan children.
About 40 people came to hear her speak at the Thrangu Monastery in Richmond, BC.
We learned about how hard life is for the small children who have to go to work at a young age, clothed in rags and
