Thrangu Tara Abbey Slide Show

New Slide Show of Tara Abbey with the nuns chanting Green Tara Puja.

There are more than 230 anis (nuns) at Thrangu Tara Abbey, with 40 small anis taking the school bus to SMD School daily and 57 women studying higher Buddhist studies in Shedra (like university).  Four anis teach in the Shedra, one of whom is an acharya, like a PhD degree, the first for Tara Abbey, but not the last.  The Abbey has a free clinic in nearby Swayambunath where eight nuns treat patients with Tibetan medicine and ac...
