EARTHQUAKE APPEAL - HELP US PROTECT SMD STUDENTS

Dear Friends of SMD Boarding School and VVF Canada,          

The recent disaster in Japan is a horrible reminder of how fragile life is. So many people are gone, buried or homeless from the earthquake and following tsunami.

Japanese Tsumami victims - please pray

Prayers go out for the victims of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami.  Such devastation! Such a shock.
The monks at Thrangu Monastery in Richmond held a puja for them.

A massive earthquake struck northeastern Japan, generating a massive tsunami along broad areas of the Pacific coast. Numerous deaths have been reported. Many people are missing. The quake’s estimated magnitude has been upgraded to 9.0 — the strongest on record to ever hit Japan.
