COMPUTERS ARRIVE AT SMD Boarding School!

Thank you to Dr. Sanford and Ms. Leighton and her group for getting THREE laptops with learning software to SMD Boarding School in Nepal!Last spring, Dr. Sanford of Braintrain.com donated 3 computers loaded with the TNT Reading System which assists users in acquiring English reading skills. It also has components to traing and improve brain function. Dr. Sanford brought the units to Thrangu Monastery in Richmond, BC.

Calgary group sponsors Nepal nun in 3-year retreat

Thanks so much to Sara Jungen and her meditation group in Calgary.
They are supporting Metok #58 from Thrangu Tara Abbey in her 3-year
retreat far away in the Himalayas.
Metok is at Sher Gompa, a many day walk from the road.
The nuns have a center for traditional three year retreat in Manang situated
in northern Nepal close to the famous Milarepa caves and the snow mountains
of Tibet. Sher Gonpa was rebuilt and consecrated in August 2005. In retreat

Tara Abbey needs funds for Shrine Hall Painting

Thrangu Tara Abbey Shrine Hall was consecrated in December 2008 but the interior paintings are still underway.Some paintings have been completed but $2500 is still needed to finish the job.Are you able to help?
