              The school is unheated.  Temperatures go
              to 0C at night.  Locally-made carpets will
              keep kids' feet warm.


($100)      Driving lessons
                    
At SMD only 4 people can drive. 
              $100 can give one older student training.


($140)      Sanitary Products for the female students

($225)      Internet service for SMD Boarding School

Concert: Cultural Music and Dance
               To preserve the culture of Himalayan
               peoples, the SMD kids learn the
               traditional songs and dances of Nepal  
               and Tibet.
Performances for the local
               community benefit the children and
               everybody has fun.  December 2010,  
               1000 people came!


($300)         Sanitation Fund
               Karma Samdup, VP of SMD Branch School, requested cleaning equipment and supplies to
               teach the monks about sanitation.


($350)         Picnic and Pilrimage
               SMD children live in a walled compound, rarely getting out.  A field trip to a holy site includes
               a picnic and bus rental.

($25,000)    Emergency evacuation
                
Namo Buddha Monastery is far from the hospital in Banepa.  Often the vehicles for the
                 monastery are doing other business. 
                 The Branch School desperately needs a van for emergencies.
